I can't seem to find a way to put it away once I go into combat mode. After the fight I wander around carrying it all the time.
The only way to get rid of it is to open the inventory and remove it. I'm pretty sure that in NWN1 you could do so by clicking on the item in the quick slot.

i believe there is in nwn1 but not in nwn2 which realy shows how useless the act is so that its removed lol
and also u cant put 2 weapons in 1 quickslot either which makes it harder 4 u to change weapon (if theres any nessasary in it) for a dual wielder... u can only change weapon on the right hand using the quickslots...

there really is no reason th sheath it. im fairly sure it doesnt offer any speed bonuses or anything. and i have never heard about this, so does it actually exist?

I haven't even bothered with Sheathing my weapon, but then I do not know how to anyways =P. Does not really appear to effect much anyways >.>.
