I'm posting this in the hopes of either getting consensus (that TNT shipped missing crucial features) or at least to get some answers to some very pressing questions (about missing features).

WHERE IS EVERYTHING?

I own the game. I bought the game December 22, 2000 (Friday, the day it was released at Electronics Boutique).

Where are the Worldwide Online rankings?

Where are the Global Scoreboards options?

Where are the Online Score Marathons options?

Where are the Online Tournament options?

- Answer:

NO WHERE!

This game was released half-complete. The manual is a joke (a few flimsy pages basically telling you nothing about features that basically aren't there in the first place)

I can only hope that I got a bad copy from an unfinished bunch. If this is really how they intend to ship the game, we really have a problem here.

Additionally, one of the games' KEY component in the single player mode is the Score Marathon (where you play, play, and play until you CAN'T play anymore).

Guess what?

The game's annoying auto-save feature (you have no independent control of when/where you can save) prevents you from ever beating your own high score in Score Marathon. How? Because of a programming glitch, the game automatically saves EVERY last-session for the high score in Score Marathon.

For example, I played to death the other night to reach Level 32, with a score of 260!

I thought, "great...can't wait to try and beat it". When I went back to play, the high score for me was only 133!!!

What happened?

To test it out, I played a quick Score Marathon game and purposely topped-out after clearing only 1 line. My final score was 1 point. I then went into the High Scores board and guess what my 'new high score' was for Score Marathon? 1 f-ing point.

Gone was the record I set of Level 32, score 260. No, instead the game saves over each session - always preventing you from having a fixed high score to go after!

I'm beside myself, so please someone tell me they bought this game and it has all the features (so I can go and exchange it).

Thanks for any info., comments, and suggestions!

The online features have been broken for a while too. The game just hangs when attempting to enter a lobby online. Crave Entertainment's website is down, so there's no way to contact them about that. I wonder if GameSpy can be any help, I heard they actually host the servers?

Sega is giving away free registration to play games for free but you still need your IP to do so. My problem is I have The Next Tetris Online and there seems to be no one online which is noticible since the system discontinued but if you have the game and you like to play join I am posting this message on many other forums so you would hopefully be to see more then just one person there.

Hope To See You There
Thanks

What kind of people are they? Shouldn't their beta testers (if they had any that is ) have picked that out right from the start.

I really hope you get an exchange or some compenstation, try emailing them or ringing the Sega Support Line on 08456 090 090 (UK). They should tell you if it is a prolem with your VMU or the game.

Also try going www.dreamcastmag.co.uk and posting your letter as an email, they will ask Sega and you should get your reply

Good luck!

I was wondering if I should get this one or wait for Sega Tetris...I think you answered my question.
