i was looking on all my easy songs on the song list which i hav 5 stars on everything and the song "bad reputation" had 5 gold stars. what does this mean?

gold stars mean you missed ZERO notes on a song.
i only got gold star on one song on easy...barracuda on Guitar Hero III.

In Career Mode (and I think Quick Play mode, but I'm not sure, unfortunately), five Gold Stars mean you got 100% of the notes in that particular song. Check the song section in Career mode to see how many stars you got on each song. If you got Gold Stars, then you got all the notes, along with a high score, depending on the difficulty you chose.

I means that you played every note perfectly. When you get 100% on a song it has that.
