Alot of in-game problem threads have came up in the past several days. So in this thread post your problems that have occurted in your game. Here are some tips on how to avoid slow game play.

Turn off all trails and reduce draw distance.
To do this, goto options and then to settings, they should be there.

Remember to install Direct X 8.1
Remember to install the newest driver, Direct C 8.1 It should be on your disk but if its not, Here it is.

Appox download: 1 hour, 10 minutes on a 56k modem using AOL.

My character keeps on going left by himself and the car continuously steers left by itself...I'd like some help in fixing this problem thats making the game unplayable.

i read some where that GTA 3 on PC loads 4 dimensional images.
it lags on my Toshiba Laptop. it has:
512 Ram
Pentium 4 2.43Ghz
64 MB Video card

i just bought my game and im playing it on my pc. well i installed it with the instal disk it came with and well everything seems fine, except for when im playing the game, well everything moves really fast, like extremly fast. the time, the cars the player, even the clouds. whats up with that?

Hey, i have a prob with the mission Uzi money, the first phone mission on shorside vale , the one where you must drive-by all the guys in purple, the first time i played through the game, it was fine, but now when i do it, there are no purple guys around, they are all red! i cant pass it.

I am unable to lock on in my PC game. Is it supposed to be like that. I swear when I played it on a friends PS2 I could lock on with the little green target for shooting, now I have to manual aim with no lock on.

For that I would recommend updating the drivers for both the video card and the sound card. If that doesn't work try moving the sound card to another slot if possible.

Well if it's a legitimate CD and it works on one computer but not the other it could be that there is something wrong with the drive.

But like he said, it works on his Celeron but not on his P4. So it might not be the CD.

Just because he owns a copy doesn't mean that it's legal for him to download warez. As we all should know even discussion of warez is not allowed in the forum.

In any case, 99.9% of the time when there is a cyclic redundancy error it means that you are installing a pirated version of the game. Either buy the game or report the person who sold you the game to the authorities.
