2K Sports is doing the same for their NBA line, with Shaq being coverman since they bought out ESPN's name for games after ESPN NBA 2k5, which that year was Ben Wallace.

I don't know anything about their NHL line, but they're probably doing the same thing there too.

Wow. I was a little surprised that Derek Jeter was the coverman of this year MLB 2K-. In 2005 he was, and take Two seems to be showing a little redundancy here.
