Hard to understand why anyone with two phone lines would ever want to use this device if you cannot be on the phone & net at the same time. I cannot find any product even remotely comparable to the capabilities of the "Office Friday" that was available a decade ago.

nope, not with this thing. This is just one of those switcher hubs.
You need either DSL, cable, or the Shogun Modem by Diamond Multimedia.
other than that, this isn't gonna solve your net/phone probs.
