Besides, the creators of .hack are Japanese... I don't think a petition in English will really effect them all that much. ()

Yeah I heard it was horrible, think of "The World" with very few (I believe about 6 or 7) Character models (the only editing was colour) They took the servers offline after a month or so. It's gonna be a long time before we have something that good

There was an online version. It failed. The sort of thing "The World" represents is many years off still- we are not technologically equipped at the present to create this game yet.
