If I'm not wrong; American Wasteland was the only one who had the "skate to other areas" type play.

What do you mean? There aren't any "links between levels". Unlike American Wasteland, THP8 is simply a few added things to an old version of gameplay. Meaning THPS4 + Graphics + Perfect Mode + a few extra's here and there + a rank system = P8 lol
