I just got through playing a few rounds over BXLA. All I have to say is... WHOA! the redone drop patterns are a whole lot better! I can't say the balance is perfect, because that is impossible, but it would be psycho hard to get any more balance without making the drop patterns too similar.

well anyway, if you are looking for a match, just send a mail over BXL, the name is the same.

the only problem I can see with the game is the diamond. people still insist on using akuma and devilot and abusing the diamond to win. However, it seems to be a minority that do it, and just remember to avoid em, and you'll have a good time. either that or you can learn the diamond abuse to use it against them. Nothing like beating a cheap gimp that prefers to use skill surrogate tricks in the place of actual skill. seriously, no skill in the diamond abuse.

akuma and devilot's damage got toned down to be more in line with the rest of them, but their drop pattern makes the diamond abuse so powerful.

in case you're wondering, diamond abuse is when you just pile gems onto the side, with no regard for anything, then use the diamond to destroy all of 1 color, this usually leads to some 3-4-5 chain combos, which can be devestating. I call it abuse because there is little you can do to counter it, stop it, or win when they do it. I managed to beat expert mode with DAN on EXPERT with NO continues using it, just to show how powerful it is. Personally, I spit on those who rely on it to win.

Mmm, I keep finding plenty of people are picking Akuma because of his tricky gem drop pattern, I have beaten a fair few of them with Felicia though, who I usually play as!
