I can't seem to get in the elevator in the TV tower. I can't get past the lobby of the tower building. I can;t get the elevator door to open. Is this the oinly way in the tower?

unfortunately, it is the only way. you have to catch the amount of monkeys it shows. if you go into the hallway and jump on the ledge to your left you should find a monkey and a button that opens up a place where there are a couple more monkeys.
