How come excellent games like this are not buzzed about anymore. I was waiting paitently for this as soon as I heard it was a Treasure creation, I finally got it last week and have not put it down. I think I will be playing this in years to come along with the lines of Ikuruga and Radiant Silvergun. Dont people want to play 2d games anymore, or do the qualities of these game not rely on further discussion.

I think Gradius V is good game, it is kinda hard though but the thing about adding another credit for every hour you play kinda makes it better.
There are too many games out there that games like this one barely got noticed because everyone wants to play halo or gta.

I wonder if anyone besides the few shmup fans on here know what Recca and Stinger are.
Oh yeah. Gradius 5 kicks ass. One of the best PS2 games.

I think it comes down to difficulty. Most people don't have the patience for games like this, which is also one of the reasons why RPGs tend not to do as well as action and sports games do.
