I think it would be cool to have a Jepardy game. You know with like DailyDoubles and five categories for different amounts of money for each question. The catagories could be stuff like seeds and animals.

Sorry,
westpole72, but that "your such a noob you..." idea is fraught with peril. Not only is it begging for spam responses, but I can see it easily degenerating into a flame war, if someone were to misinterpret the thread's purpose.
-----
I can't agree with the idea of making the forum "member's only". A lot of folks find this place while searching for info on their favorite games. Just because they don't decide to immediately become members doesn't mean that we should prevent them from feeling at home here. I want everyone to feel welcome here. If they start causing problems, you can be sure that I will quickly take care of the matter. Heh, and here I was under the impression that everyone here thought I was too much of a "spaminator"

-----
Actually, I'd prefer that the Requests thread remain just that. A place where people can make a request for a Avatar/ Banner, or Stamp. If you want to create a Banner Showcase Thread, be my guest, just make sure that folks disable their signatures before posting any images. (I, for one, am still on a 56K dial-up, and loading times really drag, even without the added load of a graphics heavy sig.) I also ask that the banners all have Harvest Moon as their focus.

Heheh, looks like
3 questions to me,
Westpole72.
Spam: The most basic definition of Spam is a post that does nothing to further the discussion of a thread's topic.
Yes, "lalala" would be considered Spam. So would a post that simply says "I agree with what "blank" said" and then says nothing more. I will sometimes refer to those as "Pointless One-Liners"
If you are going to post something, you might as well actually
say something. Asking yourself if the post helps provoke more discussion, or if it provides new information, can help you avoid a spam post.
Spam I'll typically delete, sometimes I'll explain why I am deleting it, sometimes I won't. Depends on the situation, and my current mood. If someone persists in creating the same type of spam I'll give them a warning, and if they persist, a ban.
Another type of spam is called,
Forum Flooding. That is when the last post of each thread is posted by the same person. (Typically within minutes of each other,) It may not seem like that big a deal, but it has been shown that people are less likely to respond in a forum where there only seems to be one person posting.
-----
Flaming: Flaming is a post that deliberately insults someone. Either by cursing them out, or by refusing to respect another's right to have their own opinion. The target of the flame doesn't have to be specific.
Unlike Spam, I will immediately
ban someone who flames. Especially in this forum! A harsher ban will be imposed on someone who attempts to provoke a Flame War.
-----
Double-posting: When two, or more, posts in a row are by the same individual. Sometimes it can't be avoided. Say you made a post a month ago in a thread and then came up with some new info. Double-posting then, I can understand. I can also understand when a guest does it, because they don't have access to the edit feature. Members do. If you made a post yesterday, and then decided that you either forgot something, or found that you had more to say, I would ask that you simply add the information to your previous post by editing it in instead of making a new post.
-----
Marshmellow_7, I'm not sure what you are trying to convey. Posts need to be a certain length before they count as
posts. Your post count won't go up if the post is too short. If you post something that is too short to be counted as a post, and then that post gets deleted, then your post count will drop by two. I don't know of any situation where you can make a post and have it add 2 to your post count though.

Solitaire whats the difference between a Mod and a Super Mod??

There are different catagories of Moderators.
First there is your basic moderator(I'm one of those): They are responsible for a specific forum (s). In my case, I have responsibility for this forum and the Anime Forum. They can only affect things from within their forum(s).
There are also Section Moderators: They are not assigned to any specific Forum, instead they keep a group of forums in line.
Link_2000 is the Section Moderator for GBA: RPG / Adventure. He doesn't out-rank me, or anything like that, he just takes care of any games that fall under his section. If a game in his section has its own moderator, he leaves them to it, unless they ask for help. (For example, if I couldn't be online for a period of time, I maight ask him to cover my forum while I'm gone) Typically, the Section Mod focuses on the forums in their section that do not have their own moderator. They can affect things in any forum within their section.
Super Moderators: They have more responsibilities, and also more power than your typical moderator. They are responsible for Neoseeker as a whole, rather than just one (or more) forums. They can promote and demote mods. Close/ delete threads/ posts in any forum. Give out much longer bans (even to the point of perma banning someone) Heck, if someone is bad enough, and if they have enough evidence, they can even get the ISP to cancel someone's access to the internet. They also handle problems that are beyond the scope of your basic Mod. They can affect things in
any forum in Neoseeker.
There are 4 Super Moderators on Neo, and they are:
BloodsinJeevanKudurosVeGiTAX2Many of them also have additional duties for Neo.
VeGiTAX2 for example writes a lot of the in-house reviews for Neoseeker.
There is another type of moderator. The UC. Undercover Moderator. Those that do their duties from the shadows, without any recognition. They keep everyone in line, and help keep all the moderators on their toes.
