Subject: Diablo 2 Relocating Staff of Kings

I am playing Necromancer single player version and had obtained the cube and the Staff of Kings. Now that I have the Amulet, I can't find what happened to my Staff of Kings after dropping it in camp. I am continuing to retrace steps, but I have not happened upon the staff out on the combat fields. Is this game over for me, or is there some way to locate the Staff of Kings?

I had the same thing happen to in Act 3 with one of Kalim's items (might of been his brain), anyway, I accidently dropped it in the field somewhere in that HUGE jungle. I ended up saving and quiting for a while, and got to playing and then realized what had happened. I thought it was game over for me, but all I had to do was go find it again. The Staff of Kings should be back in its area, just go out and look for it.
