I think that it's the best there is when it comes to PC RPG's. Although I must say that Fallout 2 is better than Fallout.

1 and 2 are both great i love how they intertwine(i wont say how due to spoilers) tactics i dont rate so highly, i think the UFO series did it better.

Fallout is an amazing game. Just completed it yesterday and started on Fallout 2. That one really seems great..
Anyway I read alot about the Fallout world before I stated on the games. The games just made it come a lillte more alive. I guess I'm a bigger fan of the story and atmosphere of Fallout, rather than the gameplay as such. Not that the gamestructure is bad, cause it's not,just that the various aspects of the storyline is fitting so beautifully together. Amazing theme!
As for the RPG question: Does Fallout work out as an rpg? The answer is YES! It absolutely does. I find fallout a really great rpg in every way.

Fallout 3's better, imo, but that's probably 'cause it has a good 11 year jump on Fallout 1... >_>
Although this one's pretty sweet, too.

I think it is an amazing game I have never had as much fun with a game. This is great Fallout 2 was a great sequel and fallout 3 wasnt in my opinion.
