It's a simple process, have two gameboys. And two copies of G/S and whichever game you want to have the pokemon, catch a few pokemon which you don't want, or clone. Then on the other gameboy start a game and trade in the starter to the other game, then repeat that and you have all 3 starters.

Another option is to use gameshark codes to get all starter Pokemon, and another thing you can do is this:

quote
How to get all Three starter Pokemon!(No gameshark required):
This can only work if you start a new file. First go to Elm lab and before you choose your starter, save it. Then never save it again until you have all three starters. Then start playing ya ta ya ta ya ta until you get back from battling your rival. Then the scientist will give you five pokeballs. Catch any pokemon you like and make your starter pokemon hold a pokeball. Go to the pokemon center and use the PC. Deposit your starter and change box BUT!!!!!!!! before it finishes saying "SAVING DONT TURN OF THE POWER!" turn it off!! I usually turn it of when I see the word "dont". Turn it back on and load your saved file.

Now you will be at Elm's lab where you see the three starter pokemon! pick another pokemon that you DIDNT choose. Once you pick it go to the Pokemon Center and go on the PC nd go to withdraw. You will then see your first starter pokemon!!! Now withdraw him and take the pokeball he is holding. No go outside and catch another pokemon. Go back to the PC and deposit both starter pokemon and NOT the one you just catched. Do the same process as you did before.Turn it back on and choose the last starter pokemon. Go to the PC and withdraw the other two pokemon and you will have ALL THREE STARTERS!

getting three is mere cheating and cheating takes away the challenge!

What about cloning ac, would you classify that as cheating? I find it helps you out to much ^.^

Get Cyndaquil, I personally think the fire starters grow to be the strongest and most useful even though they might be hindering in the beginning of the game ^^.

i tried all 3 out by starting new games and stuck with chikorita and now he's a level 54 meganium(he evolved into bayleaf and then meganium) he just kinda grew on me and he's the strongest Pokemon in my party he can takeout any Pokemon
depending on its size like the gym leaders steelix i fought wiped out meganium cause it was out of meganiums league but I'm working on a strategy for that.

I always started out with Chikorita, just because it's so cute. It's not the best one to start out with if you want to be very powerful from the beginning... in fact, if I remember correctly it's actually weak against the trainer of the first gym! I had to build a good support team... it was challenging and yet also a lot of fun at the same time.

Cindaquil is the strongest starter Pokemon in my experience. I was able to make it through most of the game on his strength alone, and once you capture Lugia there's no stopping you! So yep, choose this guy if you want to speed through the game quickly and totally obliterate most everyone in your path.

Cyndaquil FTW. Then again, I had gold too, so I'd just get it to the point where I could trade pokemans and get the other two starters to join me. XD
