me too, i've read the guide said that i'll meet someone after i've reach the fire (with harpies throwing corpse). that guy will help me open the gate to the pandora's temple. but... the guy never showed up...

Go talk to the guy at the other end of Pandora's bridge. He's on a high ledge on the right side and you have to pull out some huge "steps" in order to reach him.

The guy doesn't appear, I just see the scene with him carrying someone around but when I get up there he disappears

Then that must be a glitch. Does your PS2 have other problems, like loading times taking too much time?

Something that isn't meant to happen. In some cases a glitch can cause the game to be incompletable (is that a word?) Try rebooting the system or playing on a different PS2 console. If neither works your disc is flawed.

the exact thing happened to me. it sucks that its a glitch, I spent ages trying to jump up and grab that harpie in the hopes that it would carry me somewhere, but if there's meant to be some dude there he just disappeared.
