Well considering that Doom 3 can't even be run at full on the 9800 I would just forget using it on Oblivion. I'm still running a 9200 and I'll wait for the next gen cards before I even bother to upgrade again.

the X series is better then the usual series, but I think even the 8 will be out dated by the end of the year. but I dont know. My GE force has held for 2 years and plays HL2 pretty damn good so I dont know what to say.

well, my video card runs half-life 2 perfectly in 1600x1200 resolution so I think I should at least be able to run oblivion with all the detail settings on low, I think doom 3 just was poorly made kinda like morrowind, my 9800 runs half-life 2 10 times better than morrowind, I can't get past 1024x768 resolution and I still have to turn the view distance down a little to get a decent fps, so I guess ill have to see how well oblivion runs.

I'm mchief0. I'm a big fan of Morrowind, even though I hardly post in that forum. I hope this game will live up to the hype.
