At first, he is obviously following orders like all other soldiers in his team to find Freeman and eliminate him. However as the game progresses does he start to see that Freeman is innocent and this mission is wrong to be doing?
Or does he still wish to eliminate Freeman by the end?
Or is it that near the end he realises he needs to do all he can to save himself and escape? (so eliminating Freeman isn't his priority anymore)

... I think he's the kinda soldier that follows orders. but when the V-22 crashed, he just wanted a way out, and wanted f reeman dead at the same time.
in the level, We Are Pullin Out, that guy said well, I take it as you didnt get Freeman, forget about it Cprl...
then he focused only on stayin alive

But I am honestly wondering if perhaps he saw a certain side to all of it. And he realised what was happening and that maybe he should side with Gordon or maybe forget about going after him...

well all the half-life's are designed to make you feel like Gordon, Barney, or Shephard. Thats why there are no cinemas, just straight gameplay. So maybe however you feel, is how Shephard feels.

Thats a good answer, but theres flaws to it.
A* female player of Half-Life may strangely find Gordon attractive, then you would be saying that Adrian finds Gordon attractive...thats creepy!
But yeah and its cutscenes dude, not cinemas hehe.

Well, there are female players, and I don't care, so what, its cool.
And usually I doubt any female players would find Gordon attractive, which proves my theory wrong and proves the dudes point right!

on HL's box, you'll see freeman without his glasses, and when one of my cousins saw that, she said 'he's kinda cute'
