R* has not released the official requirements YET but this is a pretty good guess at what they may be at.
900MHz processor
256mb of RAM
32,64mb Video card (must support compressed textures and DirectX 9)Sound Card with DirectX 9.0 compatible drivers
Keyboard
Mouse
8,16X CD drive (DVD PC game also will be released)
S.A. like Vice city and GTA3 will not ask for Super computers like most new games but it does require a bit more then Vice City.

Yeah, GTA does not take that much to run. If you can run the latest games you will be fine

I have stopped playing it on my PS2 accidentally deleted it when I got my max drive I formatted my memory card *poof* it was gone
