This thread right here is the general discussion, where you basically talk about anything game-related.

yeah, but there are other active threads. For instance why dos marioKart DS get a moderator, and this forum does not?

doesn't make sense at all. We have enough people coming in here. And we are in the top 10 of most popular forums? [Scratches head ]

Maybe they want more activity in help threads? But if questions can be answered in 2 posts, then why discuss them for 20 more posts?
Is discussion about glitches breaking some rule? Because it's something that can be talked about a lot (though will contain spoilers, but it can just say spoilers in the title right?).

yeah, you have to state spoiler in the title.

I'm pretty sure glitches are okay to talk about, I think it's just hacks and cheats that can't be discussed.

Why in the hell was this game made? Aria of Sorrow was crap...all they did was rip off SotN...and that kinda ticks me off...Ive been playing this game..and really..almost all of the enemies that I have come across were from previous Castlevania's mainly SotN...I thought they would at least change it up a bit..I think the souls idea was alright at first but in this game you get limited soul and then you can forge them into weapons making new types...that was alright..but then what was the fact of selling weapons in the shop? To get weapons and then later upgrade I guess..but really not thaqt great of an idea after all..and the fact you can only have three items equipt (weapon, armor, acc.) was lame...thats another thing that made this game weak...If they wanted another game SotN they should of made a seqeul...even though there really shouldnt be one...in the end I just think they ran out of ideas and they are just throwing things into the game to see if it will take it somewhere...but to be honest...they should quit...

I disagree, yes there are some elements of SOTN in the game, as there are in all the other GBA games. But the one thing that none of them have that SOTN has is length of play. SOTN was a much more comprehensive game then any of the Castelvania games ever made. And, yes, everything that comes after it will be scrutinized as not being good enough, or not being worthy to carry on the Castlevania Legacy. But hey, if you look at all the CV games made, there are at least 6-10 monsters/enemies that carry over from game to game in some variation or another. I.E. Zombie, Ghoul, Skeleton, Warg, etc....

I do think that in this game they could've eliminated Hammer altogether, and just Yoko, for the soul forging, and then the items that you bought from Hammer could've been found in the game as either special drop items from enemies or something found in secret areas, I.E. The SoulEater Ring.

This game does have alot of elements drawn from other CV games, but they have expanded upon them, which to me is progress.

As far as I han see the only bad CV game is the one from N64.

I think that the main reason that Hammer was included in the game was to resupply your basic weapons when you had synthed all of the ones that are in the castle. However I agree that if they made those and his other items either drop from enemies or found in secret areas that he could have been taken out.

And it seems has if, judging by the chronological placement of this game, that going any farther in the future would be a signal for "we are running out of ideas", so maybe they wanted to include has much references to past games as possible? I don't know...

I also think that Hammer was included simply for comic relief, but they could've expanded better on his involvement as well. Like maybe having him have for than one location in the castle perhaps.

Regarding potions, I don't remember but in SOTN did the Master Librarian sell potions? I really didn't use them that much, not because I didn't need them, but because they were 1 use items (and I'm always stingy with one use items), did I overlook the option to buy potions?

Oh, and another question, I know that linking to other sites in posts isn't allowed, but is it ok if I were to quote something from another site?

If you delete your save you lose everything.

If you mean starting the game with a cleared file, then you have all of your souls and weapons...but you start the game with LV 1 Soma again.
