Well I'm new to this game. I was following the development pretty closely on the Blizzard website last year and was really excited for it to come out. Then it came out and cost around $60 so I decided not to buy it and wait for the price to come down. The other day I downloaded the demo and played it and enjoyed it alot. The demo gives you the option to play other people that have the demo online in a one on one match. You can only use Orc with the hero that rides on a wolf. I enjoyed playing on battle net. This game is a lot different than the earlier games in that it focuses on small group combat and character improvement. I was pretty much getting wasted by this guy on battle net but I was able to better manage my small forces in defense of my base and upgrade my hero to level 6 (his was only at level 2). Then I started hitting his bases with earthquake and persuaded him to quit. UPS should be delivering my copy to me today. Can't wait to try out the other races and get out on battle net.

OK i've been reading thorugh the general discussion thread...
and man...
I can say one thing it is GEneral...
everythin bout doanating, to Contribnuting, NEo points, Image Hosters, etc...
Just wondering Cuse I don wanna post in the Dead Forums here like ROn and Slinter cell. I mean Is this Froum ALive or Dead.... ???
Do people still visit here, or is everyone GOne over to frozen throne.. ??????

Yeah this forums pretty much dead with the rare visitor every now and then. Frozen throne is better, but not by much.

It's because of the type of innovative strategy, not too many strat people had too great an appreciation for this game... It attracted more people who were interested in new game types than strategy games.
I think WC3:FT will change that though.

You're probably better off switching to the Frozen Throne forum. At least of few of the things discussed still have some ROC relevance. And the posts have gone up recently.
