As this is a community based upon discussion there are obviously rules that you need to abide by. In the RuneScape forum you are expected to follow all of the rules in this thread, any thread-specific rules, and the Sitewide Rules of Neoseeker. As this is the RuneScape forum, you are also expected to follow the rules of RuneScape.

Major Rules

Spamming, Off-Topic Discussion, and Duplicate Posts
Anything that is irrelevant to the topic at hand, a very short message, or something that just wasn't necessary to be posted, is considered to be spam and is not allowed. This is a discussion board as opposed to a chat board, therefore, you are expected to put some thought into your posts.

Also, this is the RuneScape forum. Should a question arise about Neoseeker, or anything else that is not related to RuneScape, it belongs in the Site Help Forum or Loungin' (General Discussion) respectively.

Please be sure to utilize Neoseeker's edit function instead of posting two times in a row, under all circumstances. Ensure that when you are creating a discussion you are not creating a duplicate of a recently replied to thread, or something in the thread index.
Flaming and Disrespect to Members
There is no excuse for flaming a fellow member of the Neoseeker community. Obviously you don’t have to agree with everyone about everything that occurs in conversations, but when it gets to the point of making arguments personal, it becomes unacceptable and detrimental to the state of the forum. Once again, this is a community: have some respect for your fellow members.

Any blatantly offensive language is also considered flaming and will be dealt with accordingly. We will do whatever it takes to make this a forum with a friendly atmosphere.

Minor Policies

• Any thread that is created with the purpose of begging will be closed on sight. We make our own money, why can't you?
  
• Please do not discuss luring anywhere but in the official thread. Posts in other threads or new threads entirely will be deleted.
  
• If someone creates a spam topic, do not reply to it. Report the first post if it isn't already and leave the thread alone.
  
• Do not create the new edition of any continuation threads. Allow the moderators to do it so the old thread can be closed promptly and any changes that may need to occur, can occur.
  
• When discussing RuneScape celebrities, do not go into the scope of their personal life. Talking of their RuneScape playing is absolutely fine, but talking about their real lives is absolutely unnecessary.
  
• Utilize Neoseeker's report function and direct people to appropriate threads all you want, but please do not act as if you are the forum moderator. Do not say "this thread is going to be closed" or anything like that. Please leave it to us.

Closing Comments

These rules are not too difficult to follow and are for the common good of the forum. Any breaches of the rules will be considered attempts to degrade the quality of the forum and will be dealt with accordingly. Usually a simple Private Message will be sent to you explaining what you did, with a possible post deletion or thread closure. However if the problem becomes chronic we will not hesitate to give you a temporary or permanent ban from the forum.

As these rules are not too strict and do not yield harsh limitations, you should have an absolutely fine posting experience. If you have any suggestions for the forum, post them in the stickied Moderator's Corner. If you would prefer to have your issue handled privately, contact one of this forum's moderators.
