Subject: Drag 'n Drop problem

I have another problem with system shock. It runs perfectly on my Windows XP pro SP1, but Iam unable to drag 'n drop items in and out of my inventory. I have no idea how this is possible. When in inventory mode i click and hold on any item, it just shoot or when empty hands does nothing. Anyone can help me with this please?
