I always go with the top 3, and any time one of them isnt available then I just use the next person down until I have a complete team.

Ihavent gotten to the part where u can swithc out allies whenever you want , but from wherre i am my fav team would have to be

Usually it's Jaster, Zegram, and Steve. But sometimes Kisala replaces Steve.

I cant really switch people whenever I want either. As the story goes, I just use what I have to, but whenever some are out of commission, I move down the line of characters.

I usually try to switch around and experiment with my party when possible (depends on how the story goes or how far I was into the game at the time). Of course Jaster is always in there, and I am always using him because he is a fantastic character.

I always use Jaster (don't know if not using him is an option). He's never taken out of the story (or at least hasn't been yet).
I use Deego a lot. I also use Kisala.
Right now, because I'm trying to build weapons for MIO points, I'm switching around a lot.

I always use Jaster, Kisala, and Zegram.
Their combo move - Supernova - kicks some major arse. At least 5000 damage, ftw!

Combo move isn't the official title, but it's an ability that requires certain people to be in your party. They are also usually more powerful than your basic abilites.
And people wouldn't want to use Jaster because they want to mix it up.

Once you get to the edges of the Revelation Flow, you'll start unlocking combo moves.
So far, I've unlocked a couple of 2-people combo and only one 3-people combo. Needless to say, all of those unlocking left me with no Myriad Branches to create the damn Rearing Cage III...

Me too, we need a certain person with a strategy guide to tell us what enemies drop Myriad Branches. But who?
I actually think stumps might drop them but I'm not sure. I've unlocked 2 three person combo moves. The one you don't have that I have is for Zegram. It's called Gates of Hell. And I have yet to try it out.

Hah. Sorry guys. I cant find anything about who drops myriad branches. Ill check again later. All the shops seem to be of limited quantity to. I dont think they would make it to where you could sell any item that you wouldnt be able to get some where else. Everyone should finish revelation.
On topic: I know people like mixing it up, and I do to, but I would always use Jaster. He is just so versitile at everything. As long as you dont become over-reliant on him (is that a word?)

Idk, maybe it is... well anyway I'm pretty reliant on Illusion Sword whenever I fight a boss.
And does your guide say anything about Stumps? And where are the stores with them. They all restock every once and a while.

I think once you get a Platinum License, all of the alchemy materials become unlimited.
Anyway, back on topic. You can't switch Jaster out, can you? Either way, I'd still have him in the team all the time. The gun sub-weapon rocks.
