What do you think of Helena in this game? She seems to be the main character seeing as how the DOATEC storyline involves her a lot, and her picture at the choosing screen is huge.
I really like that she's not so powerful, yet she can still do quite a bit of damage over time with her numerous combos. I like elegance in a character.

I like Helena as a central character. She has a lot of depth and a certain uniqueness about her that I find interesting.
In terms of gameplay, Helena can be scary good in the right hands. The problem is that there are very few good Helena players out there. She definitely is elegant and looks impressive when she's fighting.
That's my 2 cents.

Hey, just wondering if anyone knows why Helena would try to shoot Kasumi in her storyline. It doesn't seem to fit her personality for her to try to do that...

Elegance in fighting is key. Lei Fang has the same elegance.
Quirky fun loving people like Lei Fang has what it takes to be in a fighting game.
Helena is quite the woman. She has great combos, though a lot of her moves are mid punches.
But her Bokuho stance is great. It can go to many things such as F+P~1K~2F+K,
Also to answer your question, she wanted to shoot Kasumi because Kasumi was getting in her way.

Helena's style, while elegant, is a ton of stunner moves. Combine that with her close range fighting, and in the right hands, she can wipe the floor with anyone, except someone who's probably mastered Hayate or Hayabusa.

The person I have a problem with often is Gen Fu! I don't know why, but I find it often impossible to counter against him. And since I miss those counters often, he can deal a huge amount of damage to me with just one strike.
As for Helena, I don't find her that difficult to fight. I don't try to counter her a lot because her moves change too much from high to low that I don't bother. I just attack her because her attacks are pretty weak physically anyway.
