I don't think I could last 10 days away from NeoSeeker. I don't know if I will pick up the strategy guide.. It's kind of a double-sided blade:
I get the guide- I can read about new features, weapons, maps, tips, etc...
- I risk looking into the storyline section of the guide.
I don't get the guide- 10 long days to know anything more about the game.
- I don't get the ending possibly spoiled.
I don't know what to do!

DBZ on SpoilersDoes this include future items, vehicles etc, or does it only apply to campaign related spoilers?

No. It's revealing any poignant or pivotal storyline details. You know? The part of the game most would much rather find out for themselves. Right?

Personally, I would go without buying the guide. You might get the game later, but at least playing it will be a lot more satisfying.

quoteAlso note that the Super Moderators do take a harsh stand against posting spoilers anywhere on Neoseeker. So if anyone thinks the consequences here can be avoided by posting them anywhere else but in this forum, you would be terribly mistaken.
Think you should note people have been perma banned for Harry Potter spoilers.

I'm thinking of merging all the Coop clans into the Clans and Tournaments thread. I really don't like how there is like 3 of those threads in the forum now.

A bit of an update on the release of the strategy guides
At the time I posted, the salable date of the guides was well over a week before the release of the game itself. However, recently
a new salable date on the SKU has surfaced that is
the same as the date for the game, so unless a retailer pulls the same shit that Toys R Us did with Bioshock (selling the game over a week early), then everyone here should have no issues with spoilers.
You can all breathe a sigh of collective relief.

Do fake spoilers count ?
Like if someone went around as posted "MASTER CHIEF REVEALS HIMSELF AS CHUCK NORRIS AND THEN ROUNDHOUSE KICKS THE PROPHET OF TRUTH INTO THE SUN", would that be a banable offense ?

Until the game comes out, if you intentionally attempt to post spoilers, you will be banned.

Unless it's an obvious joke like the Chuck Norris thing. It would be absurd to actually ban someone for something like that.
Now if you say something like "mastercheef kills teh arbytor," then that's a completely different issue. If you must joke around about it, make it obvious so that no one gets their panties in a twist.

Or use [sarcasm] [/sarcasm] tags.
[joke] [/joke] tags would work also.

I think we will probably just be removing the Halo 3 Game Information thread. All the information you need especially after the game's release is on the game's profile.

lmao! But what would be really bad is if someone was joking about a spoiler and it came out to be true! Then the mods would get pissed and ban him anyways.

If somebody does and it turns out to be true, depending on the nature, it'll suck to be them.
