Comments: I like the placement of the title and the logo, and there was a great choice of font for the "Welcome to the Forum" part. Could've been a little bigger, since the header is supposed to stand out.

Comments: Picture choice is "alright", it looks like there's a slight vertical stretch to it, although that may just be the way the picture came. It's pretty boring, and too small IMO to be a header.
Footer:
Score: 9/10
Comments: This is great. It goes with the theme and the mood of the game. The logo is very well placed, and the transparency was done nicely. The font could be lowered just a little lower, but it was great nonetheless.

"The horde welcomes you" is a great line, but that font is just NOT good for the banner. The border is also unrecognizable. Comments: I had an e-orgasm while looking at this banner. The effects are absolutely brilliant. The background looks as though it's been painted, but none in a bad way. It has the "watercolor" effect, and it's perfect for the style of your banner. I also love how it looks as though the characters are "fading" into the background, almost as though they're "running out of time", and that's an awesome idea. The picture choice was perfect, as was the font and logo choice, and the placement of the two was perfect as well. Amazing job.

Almost as though Fenix is coming out from the light to "save" civilization. The faded picture of Cole in the far back-left also doesn't look that great.

Comments: This is good... spooky good. I love the effects that you did, similar to SS's "fading" effect. The font, amazing as it seems, is perfect. It could have been positioned just a hair more diagonally to the left, but that's not why you were deducted the .5. It's just that since SS's was so amazing, and we can't have a "tie", I had to drop it down. As a consolation though, you did an AWESOME job.

Comments: Even though Hybrid's shows much work that was done, I picked this one! Again, if we could have a tie, I'd pick a tie between yours and his, but since I already jipped you out of the header, I'll give you the edge here. On a graphical standpoint, it's short, to the point, and simple, but still very good. The logo shows that the person was in the GoW Forum, and the phrase is catchy.

Yes, I know it's a double post.
I SERIOUSLY ADVISE all of the other judges to follow my format if they're going to score all the banners, because it will save them a ridiculous amount of time that would otherwise needlessly be wasted.
Of course, Darknet's works as well, avoids all the time of rating EVERY banner.

Before you read this, I feel I should decide on how I judged these entries. I judged them on mainly these things: 1) How the banner is presented 2) Does it fit the Gears of War world 3) The overall quality of it.
Header
3rd: Lord Aries
- I liked yours. The blending is good, the font is perfect for it, and I just like the overall texture of it. What I didn't like is the colors. It doesn't really fit the mood of Gears of War and it's too....raindowy. If you made it look more dark with fewer colors I think you could of had a better header for Gears of War. I'm not saying yours is bad at all. It's prehaps #1 material here. It's just that it's color sceam and tone don't go with Gears of War.
2nd: Shattered Silence
- Shattered, yours is plain and simple but it works in this one. The mood fits Gears of War, the flow is good and I like how the focus is set on the team at first but then you catch the font and logo so you see that as well. However Shattered, while I couldn't see anything wrong with yours or anything I didn't like, yours just never had anything spectacular. I probably would of made you the winner but, and I mean this in the least offensive way, your banner has nothing special going for it.
1st: Hitman3
- Hitman, I don't like the font for Welcome to the Forum. However, I love the use of lighting. Reminds me of Blade Runner. LOL. It's a different kind of tone for Gears and I like it. The darkness isn't gritty and grungy and it's clean and upright. It doesn't have to be disgusting and gritty in order to be dark and gloomy. Plus the effects of it with the lens flare is a nice touch. It also has a good established focus. Overall I just love this header to death! You get my vote. Work on that font, though.

- The reason I didn't give any comments was because these weren't exactly complex as the headers. But I gave Lord #1 because it's simplistic yet effective, and the line in there goes a little bit better than Hybrid's. The dipshit works with Gears of War but Lord's had more zing.
