You know, I didn't expect it to be so hard... The Zombies really get stronger at night, and it's much harder to pass through them... Gotta love the old chainsaw though.
Yeah they get a lot faster and stronger at night, it threw me too. There also seems to be more of them, but that might be my imagination.

Nah, there is a lot more of them.
They respawn quicker as well.

Ok I might just be crap at this game, but I'm finding it really difficult. I am at level 4 on the morning of day 2. I have tried the clown guy and died without even hitting him. So I gave up and went to save the Doc. I have to now beat Carlito and he just kills me with a few hits.
What would you guys advise? Should I ignore cases, and just kill zombies to level up and finish the 3 days. At least then I can start again at a higher level? Or is there a better idea?

I had the same problem. Started to hate the game because it was giving me such a kicking. What I did was this-
Save and restart the game. Go through the opening scenes etc etc until you get to the roof-top and that guy Jeff will speak to you. Reunite him with his wife Natalie who just round the corner on the roof.
When they hug, take a photo- 10,000 PP there and then. Woo hoo, level up time. Then return to them to the storage room. More PP, more levelling up. Then save and start all over again.
I did this about four or five times- doesn't take that long as stuff like the opening fly-by over the city can be skipped. Got up to Level 12, and the game became a lot more fun. Frank can carry more, is stronger, has more life, and is faster. Game is still challenging, but it's not frustrating.
And for the Clown guy- get the guns of the zombie cops before you trigger the cut scene. Don't get anywhere near clown guy, but shoot the balloons when he's blowing them up. Repeat five or six times and he's done for. After that- SPOILER- make sure you grab his mini chainsaw. It always respawns by the controls for the ride- I've used it on every boss battle, they all go down after three or four hits.

Thanks
copkilla and
rumblecat. Those tips are very helpful. I forgot that there were projectile type weapons such as the hockey stick. Also I will try to level up a bit more from the start before I carry on.
Cheers, Steel

Adam the Clown:
Take some healing food (cooked pizzas from the food court will do).
Health 1 or 2 book (Not needed but useful if you have the inventory space).
Baseball Bats (Katanas are better but there are unlimted BBB's in the sport shop).
He deflected a lot of my gunshots so I took melee weapons.
Good times to attack include while he's blowing up his balloons (if you have a gun, feel free to shoot him at this point, then follow through with a melee attack while he's stunned by the balloon powder), or at the end of the whirlwind attack, while he's standing still for a moment.
(Extra Help: If you manage to rescue the two Japanese tourists from the bookstore near here before taking on Adam, you can give them both shotguns, and they should manage to take down Adam without much help from you. He apparently can't block their gunfire.)
Carltio 2:
Before you enter the Entrance Plaza, it'll be a good idea to pick up some orange juice from the Colombian Roastmasters so that you have a few healing items stored away before taking Carlito on. Handguns are probably the easiest way to take Carlito down, but if you don't have any of those, then melee weapons can do the job - it'll just be more difficult.
If you're using handguns or other firearms, then your goal here is to hide behind one of the pillars that jut up from the railing in order to shield yourself from Carlito's fire. If you can position yourself right, any shots he takes will harmlessly deflect off of the pillar, but you should be able to shift into first-person view and still fire away at him! You'll need at least three handguns to kill him off in this manner - you can find a few of them on the group of cops in Wonderland Plaza, near the bookstore. Otherwise, the SMG will make typically short work of the guy.
Of cause, you may just be a low level. If this is the case just level up.

I found that Adam's chainsaws worked a treat on Carlito- three or four hits and he's toast.

OK why does it go dark at 10pm? I realise thats what time the shopping mall shuts but is there a switch somewhere to turn the lights back on, because at the moment its just ree deek ulous!!!

There is no possible way to turn the lights back on. The lights turning off at 10:00 and the zombies becoming slightly stronger and faster just adds a little more competition.

You could go get a toy sword from almost any toyshop and walk around with that if you don't like the dark. It gets ridiculously bright (lights up about a twenty foot radius around Frank in a red glow) and looks damn hilarious as you prance around during a zombie holocaust armed with only a toy sword.

Obviously make sure that you have some one hit kill weapons on hand, cause you'll need them (like the fire axe or Adam's small chainsaws)

Samel. I have got past Adam and Carlito (2nd time). I have leveled up to 17 and it's a lot more fun. I think I judged the game too early for being difficult when I was level 1-4. Now I am more powerful, I am getting to really enjoy this.
