quoteDetails from the July issue of Official Xbox Magazine leaked onto the net, this morning and it’s full of Mass Effect 2 information along with some DLC talk for the first Mass Effect. It is suggested that you take most of this as rumor until the new issue is released, but E3 will have already happened by then, so when it comes out, more than likely we will already know all of this.
As far as DLC for the original Mass Effect, that is not much of a shocker considering more gameplay for the title was was promised back in February. It will, however, be the last bit of anything until the sequel comes out. “We are definitely working on a substantial new DLC,” said BioWare to OXM. “We’re finishing it up and making sure that it’s going to be really good, and then we’ll announce it, probably pretty [soon]. “That’ll be the last thing between Mass Effect 1 and 2 in terms of content."

*bleep*in A does this get me excited.
I already have 1050/1050 achievement points for the game and have done everything in ME, so more content is great. I just can't get enough of this series.
It will be nice to have this to tie us over until the sequel hits early 2010.

This is good news indeed. Just started a new campaign to get me excited for ME2. So hopefully I will be done before it comes out.
When I was on ME1 last night, it kept saying 'check the marketplace for new dlc' but nothing appeared to be there, anyone else have this problem?

quote Still Waiting
June 29, 2009 - Last week through a Twitter post BioWare let fans know news of another piece of Mass Effect downloadable content would be on the way. When no details showed up, another post was put up explaining the situation.
"Due to circumstances beyond our control we don't have anything to announce today."
It appears we'll have to wait a little longer to hear anything else. It'll be interesting to see what BioWare adds to its 2007 role-playing game at this point, especially with the sequel scheduled to be released early next year.

quoteJuly 8, 2009 - Vaguely announced via a Twitter post, the second bit of downloadable content for BioWare's Mass Effect role-playing game is still something of a mystery. While the initial announcement promised more details soon, a follow-up post made it seem as though the timing just wasn't right. We recently had the opportunity to ask BioWare co-founder Ray Muzyka what was going on.
"We haven't announced it formally yet but I think you can expect something in the next little while," he said. "Probably some kind of announcement about [the ME DLC]. It's pretty cool. I've been playing what we're working on there and fans will find it fun."
Is it a side quest and does it reveal any details that may hook into the sequel? That's something we'll have to wait for an official announcement to hear about.
The initial note about this DLC being in the works caught some by surprise considering how close the sequel is and how long it's been since Bring Down the Sky, the only bit of downloadable content for the game so far, was made available. After the sequel is released, will BioWare produce any more content for the original adventure or concentrate on its sequel? "It'll be focused on Mass Effect 2 stuff," said Muzyka.

God damn hurry the *bleep* up and give us an official announcement with a release date.

I only got the game a couple of months ago, me and my brother were discussing the utter lack of DLC for a game of this type, because, lets be honest, it doesn't take more than half an hour to complete Bring Down The Sky.

I can't wait... I was already sorta pissed that there's only been 1 small DLC so far

Yes! I needed something more to do since I literally did everything in ME1 (1050/1050g). Glad to see they are giving us some DLC this close to ME2's release, although it's kinda odd that a game of this proportion didn't already have at least 2 DLCs in the first place.

I've been waiting for this to be released so I can start a final playthrough before ME 2 comes out.

Excuse the double-post (although it has been several hours), but the Pinnacle Station DLC has already been released in Germany:
Pinnacle Station
It costs 400mp. It odd, since BioWare haven't even stated a release date... Oh well, hopefully it comes out in the UK/US soon.
Edit: According to BioWare, there was a mistake with the German Xbox Live. The DLC hasn't been released. This message was edited by quaver on Aug 24 2009.

Oh I have been looking for some other excuses to play the game again... partly because I am still not sure about what choices will be important in the next game.
I mean I want one about as Paragon & Renegade as you can get, and maybe one that is mostly one but has or or two major plot twists.
Also dividing them up between my Engineer, Solider, and Adept.
Back to DLC... I do hope I can win these challenges on Insanity... I suppose I will get my chance soon.

And hopefully using all my characters, I sorta wonder if some of these challenges will be without your squad.

The "New Sheriff in Town" Achievement Picture looks like the Spectre symbol.
There has also been a new Pinnacle Station Premium Theme released. Here is a video of it:

Those last two achievements sound like some sort of multiplayer game, but ofcourse that would be highly unexpected. I guess they must be some type of survival game where Shepard battles a number of enemies.

I hope its not Multiplayer. That wouldn't fit in with the game at all.
