Simply put...
Yes the game is worth $60.
There is plenty of replay value, two seperate endings for starters.
It takes around 20 hours of gameplay to complete.
Annoying? I'd definatly say so if you play on Hard. Having finished it on Normal, I wouldn't say there are any 'annoying' parts.

You can take a picture of a dead enemy and gain research from it, but you can only take one picture, versus about 5-7 on a live target.
