Okay... i've watched on Youtube people fly through it.. and actually i do ALOT better than they do on the verses.. its just I can't get back the first guitar break. I can't twitch the strum bar fast enough.. and trust me, i am MOVING that thing up and down fast as can be, but i fail at that same point every time. I notice they can build up X2 and X3 multipliers on those straight 16th note patches, but i never can. Im stuck on freakin Miserlou and i cant get out! I dont think anything can save me but is there ANYONE out there who thinks this song is easy on expert and can give me a hint of advice? I'd be much obliged.

I beat it my first time. Not saying it's easy though. Of course, it wasn't luck either..... Now stuck on Hangar 18.

I cant get past the guitar break.. where its green and then skips around all the other frets quickly... i fail every time there. I practice it all the time but it seems like in normal game mode if i miss anything it goes instantly to red... im screwed LOL

go to practice mode. do the 1st guitar break of misirlou on HARD. do that about 4 or 5 times getting an 80 percent or up. after that you should be pretty pumped up. if you KEEP doing it though, your arm might really start to ache. so do it on hard until your arm might hurt the next time 'round. once you've done that, wait about 5 mins (or longer) just untill your arm doesn't hurt anymore and then start to practice it on expert. btw, i drink coffee when im trying a song where you have to strum alot. I hope that helps

Misirlou is actually the first Tier 8 song I passed on Expert, and the only one I passed with 1 try.
Beast took about 4, Hangar 18 took like... 18
... and Institutionalized... well, I lost count.Free Bird 2 tries.

I liekz Hangar 18. It's pretty easy for me. Free Bird is also pretty easy. Institutionalized is hard for two reasons:
1. It's just hard
2. I can't bear listening to that shit of a song, so of course I don't want to play it.

This song was pretty easy, compared to Hangar 18. In fact, Misirlou was the EASIEST in the top tier other than Beast and the Harlot. To be honest, after playing for a month, it makes it a lot easier.

I had no problem beating this on expert. Just strum up & down on the fast parts, and however you normally strum on the rest of the song, you can hit several more notes doing that.

I don't own the game (it's from a friend) but he doesn't let me borrow the guitar controller, so I played the whole game on a normal PS2 controller. >.<
Misirlou is one of the almost impossible songs on the PS2 controller. I've passed them all (even Freebird on Quickplay) but I can't pass Misirlou.

I beat misirlou by going through the song normally, pause 8-10 notes before the break, take 3 MASSIVE swigs of red vault, then go pick style,(middle finger and thumb together w/ the pointer tucked between them) and before I know it, I'm done

It was a pretty easy song. But if your stuck on it just keep practicing it in practice mode.
