The SD card method was around for only a couple of months so far as I'm aware (or the TP hack), and the PSP has released firmware updates to block Homebrew.
Not saying that there isn't a way around it though. I said it under the sense that it would just be annoying.
That, and they could release a new version of TP. But maybe that wouldn't matter.
Sorry, I'm just assuming Nintendo's going to be firm on piracy again.

I'm not getting into details, but Nintendo is SURE AS HELL not firm on piracy. At all.

Gamecube GameDiscs? >_>
Anyway, a large part of the Wii is dling old games, and Homebrew kinda takes that revenue away. I don't see why they wouldn't release something that checks the save files.

If you think about it - as I said before, Wii games are generally bigger than what can be held on a single 2Gb SD Card. Emulation of older games (purchasable on the VC) is more what I feel is in store next.
NeoRez, are you sure that you are using the correct data.bin file? Check the table in the first post against your serial number on your TP disc.

I'm using
this and its not working. When I walk backwards in TP, a black screen comes up and nothing happens.

So would this allow me to extract my Brawl and mario Kart saves to my SD card

@Sakuraba Neku,
You should be able to do that without having any kind of homebrew programs. That is just file management.
@twilightprince,
I haven't used that before, but what exactly is happening? Is it booting at all?

For anyone who has homebrew on their Wii, what size SD Card is recommended to use?
I have a 2GB one I use for my DS, but I want to get a new one for my Wii, so I was wondering what size I should get.

As far as I know, at this point only 2GB works properly.
@Sakuraba Neku & Neorez
I really don't know what to tell you. You must have screwed up a step somewhere along the way, or aren't using the proper files.

Neorez, I fixed my problem by renaming data.bin "data"

Unfortunately true. If you are serious about homebrew, I would highly advise against updating.
Looks like we will have to wait for the WiiBrew channel to get out of beta.
Stay tuned for updates loyal readers
