quote WikipediaScreens:The origins of the game lie with the original classic arcade game Space Invaders. However, Space Invaders Get Even puts a twist on the formula by letting the player control the space invaders themselves.
Unlike the original game and its spin-offs, Space Invaders Get Even sees players piloting the UFO across a landscape rendered in 3D graphics, which encompasses areas such as cities, forests, oceans and military bases. Players move the UFO with the Nunchuk, and then use the pointer function of the Wii Remote to direct a swarm of up to 100 invaders in blowing up buildings and destroying the defending forces of Earth. The invaders, which are rendered as flat, glowing two dimensional sprites which resemble the invaders in the original game, are split into three types, each with different attributes. Upon eliminating all opposition in the stage, the player must then take on a large boss, which include a giant tank and a huge battleship.
The game will feature downloadable content in the form of additional stages. Players will also be given the option to replace the UFO with ships from the Darius and RayForce series of shoot 'em ups.
The kicker? It's for 500 Points.

Epic, Epic Win. Luckily this comes out sometime next year, so I'll have plenty of time to pick up more Wii Points and a storage solution.

500, yeas, but it'll use the MLAAK effect, so you'll really wan to spend the xtra 1500 points for DLC.

500 for the base game with a single stage, that can add two more stages for up to 500 points a pop for a grand total of six extra stages and 1500 points total.
Still doesn't change the fact that it looks really damn nice.

God, this game looks amazing. Just goes to show you what devs can do if they put their mind to it and not create a half-assed game. As for the points, I'd get the first stage and try it out and if it passes the test, then I'll buy the rest of the stages.

Well remember, all these games we're looking forward to (MM9, this, etc.) are made buy actual companies that you would hear about or are recognizable titles (Tetris Party, this, etc.).
If that was confusing to follow, it's cause I'm a bad explainer.

yay, a Wii version of Super Star Dust..
at least this is $10 cheaper than that...luckily i didnt have to pay since i got it off my friends account..
anyone know how much space this will take up? might be time to deleate the remaining 12/24 VC games...
i'll buy this since i've got a spare 600 wii points.

This reminds me a lot of flying the saucer in Destroy All Humans. May be worth a play.
