The name of the site that's been linked and quoted a number of times by now is "Fighter's Front Line". They are renowned for being a veritable source when it comes to Vs. Fighting games, amongst the Japanese.
So, then this page on said site was found on 2ch by some one several days ago. It not only does such things like seemingly confirm how much the game's arcade board will cost, but it lists what console the game is seemingly destined for.
Yes, it's true that this is not an official Capcom announcement. But like other reputable Japanese blogs, such as "Soutahouse", they have no reason to falsify information, as they have a reputation to maintain.
Thus, why people are basically willing to throw their lots behind this "confirmation". If it was just a random 2ch rumor, than it would be treated as such. But the rules change once when you start having credible sites involved, with their own credibility on the line, to match.
Feel free to wait for an official confirmation, as I'm going to do so as well, before I start celebrating. But again, at this stage in the game, we're basically looking at 80% confirmation, right here.
I would <3 Capcom forever if true. If there's official confirmation, I'll go Twilight Hack my Wii right that second.

Tatsunoko is a company which produces anime if I'm not correct. Anyways, I'd love it if this is true. Any Capcom crossover game is good for me. But please make sure it's Classic controller compatible. That's what it's there for.

Ah, then it seems that like Jump Superstars, it probably won't come out outside of Japan do to license issues else ware.

While under one umbrella company in Japan, it's too spread out in the rest of the world, with multiple companies holding different Tatsunoko licenses.
It's the same situation with the non-OG Super Robot Wars games and Another Century's Episode.

Damn you, Akira! I wanted to make this thread so bad!
When I first read about this, I must say I was shocked. From all of the videos I see on Youtube, I'd swear that this game ran on more powerful tech. I guess I was wrong. I hope this game still gets released on PS3, since I don't want to buy a freeloader just to play this.
I really wonder how this game would work on the Wii. The GC and Classic Controller lack the buttons for a standard fighting game controller. I would much rather use a PS3 or 360 Controller for this kind of game.

The Classic Controller has the same amount of buttons as the DualShock 3 and 360 Controller.
And Hori has already made fighting sticks for the Wii.

I didn't know that.
Still, It's strange to see a fighting game like this on the Wii. I usually play my crazy tag team fighting on Sony Consoles.

This game won't make it stateside. Just because of the Tatsunoko part of the title. Capcom is clearly aiming only at the Japanese market with the title.
But a MvC3 could see a possible localization. At the very least, they better do it.
