So, remember last year's investor's conference from Nintendo? Yeah. Nintendo President Satoru Iwata set us up the bomb, giving us such megatons like the revelation that Sega's Sonic would be in Super Smash Bros. Brawl, and news of the Nintendo Channel which includes DS demo downloads. From this conference last year, we got news of Monster Hunter 3 being a Wii-exclusive game, and a bunch of WiiWare game announcements. Are you ready for the megatons? Or are we getting set up for a disappointment? Stay tuned.

October 2nd is when it all happens. I'll be up relaying you all the information from news sources until whenever all the media ends, bringing you the latest information, news, screenshots, and whatever to come out of Nintendo's Fall Press Conference.

We really shouldn't expect much (or anything at all) from this press conference.

But if you want to know my wish list, here it is:

Wii storage solution
PAL Virtual Console games able to run 60Hz (like that will ever happen)
Star Fox
Pikmin 3
Kirby Wii

If they do say something about starfox, I hope its a classical styled starfox, I don't want to be playing a starfox adventures type game again. It was a nice idea, but wasn't much fun.

I have an SD card but its a pain in the ass to move shit to and from it, so a fix for the storage problem would be great as well. Though I wouldn't be surprised if it was some sort of external thing that you have to purchase for $40 or so and connect to your wii.

Did anyone else hear about the new DS rumor?

It has a camera, music playback and a lot of other stuff.
It sure is convinent the rumor came out a few days before the confrence.

They already announced a new Ds with Camera and MP3 capabilities among other things
so i am expecting Ultratons

Seriously though, if a storage solution and Kid Icarus get confirmed it will be a happy Thursday.

I hope they dont announce DS2. I wanna buy a 360 and a new handheld will make me put that off.

Looking back at last years press conference, it truly was spectacular! Hopefully this year's will be just as epic.

Here are my semi-realistic hopes and dreams:

Wii
Storage solution
Kid Icarus revealed
Pikmin 3 revealed
Disaster localization this year
Fatal Frame localization this year
Nintendo publishing The Conduit
Kirby Wii (the scrapped GCN game)
A trailer for either the new Mario or Zelda game (based on what Miyamoto said at E3)

DS
Fire Emblem localized this year
ASH localized this year
Soma Bringer localized this year
Metroid Dread revealed
Confirm new DS rumors?

If Nintendo did all of these things, it would be more than enough to appease all of the people complaining that Nintendo has abandoned hardcore gamers. None of these hopes are really that unlikely, so its entirely possible.
