Add me into the list of those who were surprised. I generally don't reply to threads that can be seen as spam or trouble-causing, but I thought that one would be good for discussion as I explained that 2009 may turn out to be a bad year for Nintendo while 2008 had some good games for the Nintendo Mariocore gamers (hardcore casual gamers

). An explanation from the mod would be good to see so we don't run into further problems when making threads.

Or maybe any thread that makes a slightly negative remark about the Wii gets automatically closed?

Still waiting for a response to the recent posts here.
But, in the meantime, why can't threads like this stay open for potential discussion? Even if something hasn't been confirmed (despite it looking like a pic of the initial Revolution) it still has discussion value (at least to me).

Regarding both points, they each have no worthwhile discussion value.

Something about that line seems a bit weak considering that the first thread mentioned started off with two lengthy, well-constructed and civil posts.

A "Wii 2008 Year in Review" thread has no discussion value?
Uh, what?

Feel free to make one that's more neutral and less incendiary.

So, with that last statement, you basically agreed that my thread had actual discussion value, but closed it because I made a negative remark towards Nintendo?

No.
However, the way that topic had started discussed something that has already been done in the past, and had no need to be discussed further. Furthermore, it was a flag to attract the unsavory types to this forum who do not positively contribute to this forum's value. This is something I would not like to elaborate on.
Now, if this forum were to actually have a better PPD than it does now, I could let more things slide, because there is enough activity to keep things more fresh and revolving. However, I don't want to see this forum gain more activity with topics that could negatively affect what ultimately this forum is about, because that is not a good foundation for growth.
What I'm saying is to discuss the positive things, things that would provide a good base for this forum moving forward. 2008 was a good year for the Wii, if you've actually been paying attention. However, most people don't even realize that.
EDIT:
I just want to clarify: I don't really care what you say, just don't make whining/bitching/etc. the basis of a thread.

Is there a thread for posting the latest Demos available on the Nintendo Channel? The closest thing I found was this thread, but this is a very old thread and is more speculation than anything else. If there isn't a thread, could I possibly make a thread to list new videos/demos as they are available on the Nintendo Channel?

What ever happened to the Buy/Rent/Ignore threads? I kinda liked those.

Wow. Nice forum header. I'm suprised I hadn't seen it earlier.
How long has it been up and who created it?
Great job anyway.

The header has been up for a long time now, and was created by Sonic Flash.
I suppose I could try to get the bastard to update the games on it, though.

I agree, this piece of artwork is very well done. The reference doesn't come to mind though.

Oh, if you were actually talking about the thread header instead, I think it's just a random picture from the internet.
