I would think you could, hence the name suits.

it usually says his jacket or shoes fot the character is unlocked(mostly leathered)and i can't seem to equip it if you can even equip it

to equip gloves, suit or boots you have to press triangle at the charater select screen

u can get suits by unlocking through collecting sets of cards
