I've heard that Dante would be playing the role of the antagonist in Devil May Cry 4. It was also mentioned that he would also be playable. Vergil may be a possible playable character as well

DMC4 coming to the 360 and PC.Yay? It's cheaper than buying a PS3 I suppose.
And if no one trusts IGN, here's the
press release from Capcom.

New Famitsu Scans:
1234Two words: Holy. Crap.
Scan 1 shows a sweet screenshot of Dante and Nero pointing their guns at each other, as well as some pictures of new areas and a picture of Dante.
Scan 2 shows what appears to be the Red Queen's "acceleration" type ability. The sword glows red when this is activated, and it appears to give Nero a speed/power boost.
Scan 3 shows some new pictures of Variel, and also an enemy that resembles the Frosts from DMC1. Glad to see they didn't scrap the snow area.
Scan 4 shows screens of PLAYABLE Dante, as well as more pictures of the snow area, which both Dante and Nero seem to go through.

Top left: Oh yeah. It's love, baby

If you look on the second scan, there seems to be two gauges on the lifebar... I wonder if you can charge the sword and the arm.

The big bull on fire is named
Belial (beriaru), and the icy enemy is indeed a
Frost (furosuto)

Hmm, interesting. I wonder if they'll keep that as his name in the localization.
Any other parts of the article you managed to translate? I heard there was something mentioned about the styles returning, but I can't exactly tell from the screenshots.

No, sorry. I don't see anything that could pertain to styles either, and I can't really read

Hey guys, there's some pretty interesting, if not new, info/screenshots of DMC4 in the new PSM, as well as an interview with Kobayashi. I'm tired at the moment though, so I'll summarize the article and post the interview tomorrow when I get a chance to read through the article in more detail.

Its mostly their recount of their pleythrough of the demo they played. It was the same demo that was at TGS, but more polished, with added cutscenes and puzzles to boot. Also it seems they got to play through the snow level because they said it was pretty damn hard. They also have a list of several of Nero's moves (they have screens of what the action description screens will look like in game).
It also shows several of the playable levels with Dante and how he will retain his DMC3 style system (slightly modified and updated). The article goes into detail about it, but I'm too lazy to get the mag now. I'm tired also. Its almost 2 am...I'm going to bed.

Yeah, reaver posted the gist of it. I wish they'd release a demo already...
One of the bigger and more interesting things is that the styles (the four main ones from DMC3) will now be able to be switched instantaneously during gameplay. They also said that the basic animations for the style actions will be mostly the same, but they'll be upgraded graphically. Also, if anyone's interested, here are some of Nero's moves and their descriptions:
Charge Shot - Hold [] to charge, and release to fire.
Exceed - Pull L2 to charge the EX-Gauge! (This is basically Nero's answer to DT in the fact that it powers up his attacks.)
Streak - While holding R1, press left stick towards enemy plus /\ (This move seems to work like Vergil's Rapid Slash with Yamato. It was seen in the TGS demo, among other moves.)
High Roller - While holding R1, press left stick away from enemy + /\ (This is basically High-Time with a different name)
Escape - While holding R1, left stick + X (This seems to be some sort of fancy backflip/dash ability that puts distance between Nero and the enemies)
Hell Bound - Face the Grim Grip and press R1 + O (The Grim Grip seems to function as a grapple point which you can use to cross large chasms)
Lock-On - While holding R1, you will stay locked on to the same enemy. (self-explanatory)
Snatch - When facing an enemy, press R1 + O (This is used to pull enemies towards you. You can also use it in the air.)
Buster - Press O near an enemy (This move causes Nero to do an uppercut while on the ground, and a downward slam while he's in the air.)
And that's all for that. Among the other screenshots are some pics of Berial (as the magazine calls him), two new pics of Nero fighting a group of Frosts, a pic showing a large group of enemies(the caption says that huge groups like this will be common due to the graphics engine they're using), and two pics of Dante using SwordMaster and Gunslinger respectively. Some other general info is that the game will run at 60 frames per second, and that the guy who directed the action cutscenes in DMC3 will be back to direct the ones in DMC4.
Anyway, that's about it. I'll try and get the interview up sometime later. If I can manage, I'll try and get some of the screenshots up too. I wouldn't count on those though, but we'll see.

here, i just found this website, its a short little tidbit on DMC4, but its a good recap on what we have. Apparently there using the same engine as dead rising for the visuals, and destructible Environments!!
