There's also rumors of GTA5 being in the works as well as a new PS2 GTA game. But since this is coming from an analyst, take it as a grain of salt.

These are my predictions.
2 new DLC: Likely
GTAnext in 2011: Possible
New GTA on the PS2: Unlikely
I doubt there will be a new GTA for the PS2. It's a dying console that's been around for at least 9 years. Rockstar have already focused on the next-gen consoles and newer consoles and handhelds, as we all obviously know. The next GTA in 2011 I think may be possible, Rockstar rarely leaves big gaps between games. The two new DLC I think is likely because as FB has stated numerous times,

the whole 2 new DLC's would only be true for PS3 because many think it'll be the two that have already been released. The GTA game next being released in 2011 is highly likely, but I'd only think it'd be on PS2 if it was CW.

He's referring to Chinatown Wars on PS2, that's all. And it won't happen. It's a complete waste of resources. It's a waste on the PSP. A game made for DS shouldn't be running on a PS2, because it can do better.
Tell you what, I'm getting sick of these rumors. It's just analysts going around getting articles published on their opinion. To assume Chinatown Wars will hit PS2 is idiocy.

I agree. When I heard that Chinatown Wars was being ported to the PSP I rolled my eyes and chuckled. The fact is that given the disproportionately underpowered state of the DS compared to the DS, a straight port to the PSP is absolutely absurd. Not only that, but the one advantage (and I mean the ONLY advantage in my mind) that the DS has over the PSP in terms of hardware, is the second touch screen. Since the PSP obviously lacks this feature, then the PSP port of this game is going to lack any originality it could have possibly had. To me, Chinatown Wars is nothing but a souped up, amped up GTA I or II disguised as a modern handheld GTA game.

Chances are, the people who buy it for the PSP will hate it. The game will be useless on the PSP because all the fun is the DS side of things. Doing drug deals, hijacking cars, defusing bombs, cutting open ammunition vans with blow torches etc. It's all only fun with a styles. The only way I could think of doing all that on the PSP would be if there was a cursor on screen. And that's mad lame.
As for the 2 new DLCs? I really doubt it to be honest. The current 2 DLCs are part of the story arc in the game, and to make another two would mean a new story arc, considering we know there's only 3 main characters to this arc --remember "Impossible Trinity"-- and I don't think they'll start any new stories unless it's a complete new game
A 2011 GTA wouldn't surprise me, but a PS2 GTA at this stage? lol.

Thay actually could make Chinatown Wars an AWESOME game on PSP, but I know for a fact they won't. All they would have to do is FORGET the straight port and use the GTA III engine (like they did in VCS and LCS) and make it a full blown 3D GTA game with parallels in storyline only to the DS version.
Now THAT I WOULD LOVE!!

However, I think the first 2 was MS exclusive and one of the others will be the third episode of GTA4 if you must think there's only 3.
The next DLC will be new games but continuing the engines and physics most likely. I believe the new games will be in the form of DLC and eventually in a year brought out on Disc medium. GTA5 will come out on PS4. This is my belief on how R* and the housers are going to do in terms of GTA this gen.

I believe the two upcoming DLC's and GTA V in 2011, but I don't believe that another GTA is coming for the PS2. I mean as much as I would like for that to happen, I still highly doubt it. But if it does happen, it will probably be a little spin-off like the stories games for the PSP and PS2.

There's going to be more content in the PSP port of Chinatown Wars. More missions, more weapons and vehicles, from what I've read.
Doesn't matter to me, I don't own a PSP or a DS. But there is a precedent here, I mean Liberty and Vice City Stories were ported to the Playstation 2. I realize that was a long time ago, but to say that it's completely impossible that Chinatown Wars will ever appear on the PS2 is a little strong, in my opinion.

Dude, they can port that top-down toxic waste to the PS1 or lol the Dreamcast. I have nothing against the DS. I own one, in fact. The thing is, though, that any non-3D version of a GTA game (besides the nostalgic GTA I, II, and London) on even the PS2 or PSP is laughable and a complete waste of time.
The ONLY REASON that GTA: CW was graded so high is because it is a DS game, so expectations have to be very low.

^ Exactly. And they could add all the weapons, vehicles and missions in the world, but it's still a top-down game that can be run on a DS, and PSP gamers want the 3D version.
It reminds me of Tom Clancy's EndWar. While the PS3 and all that gets this, the PSP has this DS style crap. PSP gamers don't want that, they want 3D with actual graphics. That's why they didn't buy a DS.

Whats wrong with a long awaited San Andreas Stories on the PS2 with MMO to fill the gap in a shorter storyline and smaller gameplay style game? As for GTA5 that is just too soon. Liberty City without Vice City and San Andreas in between will most likely be the point where I'll kiss the series goodbye! Don't rush anothe LC til another VC and SA have been attempted!

We don't know that GTA V would be in LC, but your other points I would agree with. As for San Andreas Stories on the PS2...DAMN! I would support that, particularly if there were also a PS3 port with souped up graphics and visuals that was otherwise the same as the PS2 version.
