well Rockstar got away with putting horses in Red Dead Revolver, but i don't think they could be killed, or am i mistaken?

The thing about GTA is, it already has all the surrounding controversy so it may be a bigger deal than having horses in a game like Red Dead Revolver, which horses definitely called for otherwise that game would be *bleep*ed. I still don't see why people would jump on Rockstar for having animals in the game any more than they would about being able to sell drugs in the game or something.

Some one mention Horse Races. What happens if they do allow animals in but to actually see them and all you need to be in a race riding them or betting for them?

I wouldn't mind some animal life, but not too much. Sticking to the basis of the game would be better... the most I would like to see are dogs, and even then, I have a feeling that people running around killing dogs in the game will get R* a few visits from PETA.
I also have a bad feeling that this will spawn "How many dogs can you kill?" competitions. Funny, I could care less if I moxed down a bunch of humans but I'll probably just sit stunned and sad if I accidentally catch a dog in the cross fire.

What about dogs illegal fights? The more the dog run with you, the most strong it will become.

Minigames where you have to kill a certain amount of animals would be pretty absurd, but animals in general would add the extra realism to the environment. A personal guard dog would be neat, I like that idea. I'd probably prefer actual human guards covering my back in most situations but it would be original to be able to have a dog.

If you had a dog that would have a use, sure, that would be interesting. Outside of that, the most I would want is what I mentioned before. I have to agree that the thought of animal minigames is not an excellent idea, IMO.

I guess having a German Shepherd to watch your back would be pretty damn cool, but I just don't want to see an innocent animal getting hurt in the game. Anyways, they already said countless times that Animals won't make an appearance in GTA games, other than birds and marine life of course.

There will never be animals in GTA. It's too controversial. The closest thing we got so far to mammals are the horses in the Betting Shops in SA.
Then again I could be wrong. They might take a chance and add some animals.
