Hi everyone!

I come seeking advice!

My party currently consists of Minsc (Ranger), Jaheira (Fighter/Druid), Aerie (Mage/Cleric), Jan (Theif/Mage) and my own character (Mage). Right now, there are two characters who I am seriously considering for addition to my party. One is Keldorn. This is because I seriously need a front-man guy (my party is magic-user paradise!) and someone to carry more.

But Mazzy is awesome to have in any party because she gets along with everyone and is very good for distance. Not sure how she would handle at the front though and I forget if she uses a crossbow or just a bow.

Thoughts?

Out of those two, I think I'd go for Keldorn, as he seems stronger than Mazzy along the way. My personal preference would be Valygar though. He and Minsc are currently forming my frontline, Minsc wielding Lilarcor and Valygar dual-wielding his Corthala family blade and the Celestial Fury Katana. Supported by myself (an archer) and Yoshimo (I know you hate him ), and Jaheira (as my Jack of all trades) and Aerie for the magic we all need so badly.

Valygar is very lethal, causing bleeding possibly when he hits.

However if you decide to go for Mazzy, who is a sweet little halfling overall, you should perhaps boost her strength a bit and that way make her able to be a frontline tank.

Thanks for the advice Vince! I'm going to be going and grabbing him as a tank this time around, and the next time I play I think I'll just make my main a theif/fighter so I can actually have a good theif with me. =D

Yoshimo is the one character I really hate. My dislike for Anomen is only mild.

Ah yeah, well you've opened my eyes regarding Yoshimo - Jan, so thanks for that as well.

Not only are Jan's remarks much more fun, I believe in time he is possibly a better thief as well. And with that a nice support mage, so I traded Yoshimo for an equally good thief, and got a support mage as a bonus.

Time for some deliberate butt-kicking!

Not to mention Jan comes with some items of his own which increase and improve his abilities at finding traps and handling locks, which make him an excellent guy to have on the team.

Glad we agree on that. Yoshimo always bumbled along and missed a lot of traps and even failed to open a few locks, as did Nalia when I used her one time. When I got Jan and he did something right I got all excited. =D
