Subject: Bathtub Glitch?

In one of my houses, I put a bathtub in the bathroom in addition to a shower, strictly so I could wash my dog without having to keep going back to the town square.
Problem is, after a couple of uses, I couldn't use it anymore, I would click on it to "wash dog", but then the command would disappear and nothing would happen, my sim would just stand there doing nothing and the dog wouldn't come.
Then, when I tried to remove the bathtub in build mode, I couldn't click on it, it was stuck there, so I ended up having to move the family out, then move them all back in to get rid of it.
So then, I tried putting a new tub in, and the same sequence of it not working and not being removable happened all over again.
Has anyone else had a problem with this?
I haven't tried this with any of my other houses, so it very well could just be a glitch with this one specific house.

if your lot was called fishbone island thats probally the case it happend to me it like its haunted

I don't think the lot this happens in is Fishbone Island, but I'll have to go back and double-check.
Haunted, you say?
What kind of weird things happen to you on the Fishbone lot?

i didnt say it was haunted i just said its like its haunted ill got stuck on a toilet

I have it happen myself.
This is an glitch in the game as a whole. What it is the game has the tub set to "in use" even though it is not in use. Which is why you can't move it or use it to wash a dog.
You will sometimes find that other objects in the game become unusable in much the same way.
The only solution is move out and then move back in, also it has nothing to do with a particular location and there are no haunted places in Sims 2 Pets.
BTW the same glitch occurs in Urbz, Sims 2, and Sims 2 Castaway as well occurring in Sims 2 Pets.

Maybe your bathtub was in a wrong place or perhaps the dog isn't in a position where it can be bathed, such as passed out or sleeping.

Ya kno that never happened to me. the one i got is now broken and i cant use it but i am getting a new one. hopefuly it wont break:_devil:

that happend to me and now i hav 2 tubs 1 works and the other dosent. but it takes up alot of space. so put one more
