Subject: Battle Tactics In VS Mode

I am consistantly getting creamed in VS mode and against strong enemies. Are there any special tactics that can better my odds? I know that when receiving heavy fire to transform into jet mode, speed off and regroup, but are there any other tactics to use?

well in battleoid mode, use the boost button to move together with the directions, so you're 'skating' this adds speed. also try to use the strafe buttons to dodge fire and attack at the same time.
when firing, you'll notice that the 'heat' meter on your bar has 2 sections, stop firing when the meter reaches the second section.
in jet mode, use decoys to avoid getting hit by missiles, and also use the various 180 turn maneuvers to make sure you get turned round fast enough.
when turning or tracking, bank using the trigger buttons and use boost to spin. this will speed you up and make you harder to hit
