I think shooting 3 rockets at once is perfectly practical, since if all 3 rockets hit the same enemy, their damage stacks to 3 times what a single rocket would have done - also you can kill multiple enemies in one shot, which is something you couldn't really do with previous rocket launchers (except Silecner from DL)

But the angle that the two peripheral Rockets shoot out at, they don't hit the same enemy, unless your standing a couple of inches from him. Also, I was talking about a one-on-one sort of thing, or the enemies coming single file, as I only use the Rocket Launchers for bigger enemies. The smaller ones I use the Cutlass or Doom Blades.

Doom Blades are crap in Challenge Mode, even at highest form - they are so pathetic damage (worse than the Magma Combustor), and the Unique Mod is the worst in the game.
Personally, for single enemies I use Alpha Canon, Judicator or Magma Combustor

I've finished Challenge Mode 4 times and I use the Doom Blades a lot. Oh well, all to his own.

I really don't know what my favourite one is
1. Nitro Reaper (because it's like a shotgun and I love TF2 and HL2
)2. magma combuster (2nd best ranged weapon, also good damage output)
3. alpha cannon (best ranged weapon, INSANE damage output that I even use the RYNO4EVER more than it
)

What is TF2 and HL2?
anyway, I found the Nitro Reaper disappointingly weak for a shotgun, since it is only about the same strength as the whip at first
I love the add-ons for the final upgrade and unique mod, though.

The Claws(Forget what it's called :\): It's cool, it's amazingly strong on it's best level.
Alpha Launcher: It's So strong, and best of all, it does all the work for you.
Tornado Launcher: It's useful for lots of enemies, if you don't wanna get hurt, stay around a corner, turn the camera to see the enemies, and use the sixaxis controller to manoeuvre around to the enemies. Poor Sods don't even expect a thing.

I haven't fully upgraded all my weapons yet nor have i finished the game 100% (ive just finished the main story, WHY DID CLANK HAVE TO GO?), but this is mine:
1. Shard reaper
2. Judicator
3. Predator Launcher
4. Pyro Blaster
5. Plasma Stalkers
I prefered the predator to the raptor for some reason, and the shard reaper is great when you first get it as the enemies are weaker, but at the end it gets too weak. I find its a great weapon in the arena, hit and go.

Nah, the napalm makes the place look ugly.
Plus when i got the upgrade, from then on enemies got stronger so i tended to find the raptor launcher weakish. Except for a few things like that giant pirate-robot guy who has a cannon on his hand and shoots giant balls out of. He appears a few times actually.
