I'm at mission 10 atm, havent tried it yet but o well... I just got a tiny question: When you have completed the game once, can you go back to previous missions from some list, or do you have to play through the game to get to a specific mission?

yes you can and then select the missions and unlock hard mode finish it with Dante and then you can play as Trish which is pretty cool:)

Yeah, once you beat the game on Normal with a character you get a level select screen. In DMC1 you didn't get that, and in DMC3 they're even more generous and give you one even before you complete the game, basically as soon as you get some save data, DMC2 is in the middle
