Race an event that gives you Bonus Prototype Mods. After you win, go to "Modify Car" and press Square to bring up the Prototype unlock menu. Look for the respective league you want, look for Nitrous, it should be the fourth one, and press X. It will now be unlocked.

tip for futher prototype races the max league of a car is when it can be made into a prototype eg if a car has a max league of 3 league 3 is when it can be made into a prototype
