is this game actually kind of difficult on Normal Difficulty?
Now, I'm fairly a nubb at this game, as I've only been playing for a few days... but its taken me millions of tries to beat bosses or even complete certain levels! I'm in about Chapter 4 with Gwendolyn right now.
Anywho, anyone else experience such difficulty on their first few plays?

Not really... if it's hard, go level up your character =x. Make Painkillers, Potions, Unlimited Power, Napalm. All these things make your life a ton easier.
I also recommend equipping that ring that increases your attack.

Once you learn the alchemy system the game is cake.

On the occasion that I do get further in Gwen's second chapter .. I'll try to keep the alchemy in mind. X_X;;

You really need to learn how to use it, without it the game is pretty hard, and believe me I know. I beat the game using zero alchemy once, and it kicked my ass lol. The alchemy system is pretty simple to use though so take full advantage of it.

hahah, its nice to know I wasn't the only one that struggled that early in at first. But yeah, once I started using alchemy, things became a lot easier. A LOT.

I mean its difficult compared to many games nowadays but once you do master the alchemy system things do get alot easier so np.

This game is difficult? This is the simplest and easiest game I have ever come across.
Your weapon will level up as you suck the photons, you will level up as you eat and most enemies will die when you use Cylone (which most characters will get first) or Photon Burst (later).

GEEZ!!!take advantage of alchemy!it's basically multiplication!!!
-meat=x4
-berries/fruit=x4
-alchemy bottles(varies)
etc
