The powers and such are closer to 2 barring a couple things like Rage of the gods/titans and swinging around.
The story is dark literally and figuratively.

tbh i prefer the ps2 god of wars better. they had more gameplay and were a lot harder

This game easily matches the PS2 games. You should know that the game isn't going to be that long, due to the size of the UMD disc.

wouldnt be too sure about that.. they got plenty of hours out of crisis core and the graphics in it were the same if not better
but no, its pretty short xD

It's not better than the PS2 versions, largely because of the PSP's difficult analogue stick and the shorter length of the game. Does that mean it's a bad game? Absolutely not. It's an ironed-on 9/10 and easily the best game on the system.

Im not saying this is better than the PS2, versions, I say if you get rid of or ignored the limitations due to the systems difference, it easily matches it. So yeah I agree with what Taker4ever said.

Playing on Normal, BTW.
Haven't played the PS2 games, but this one's pretty fun, if a bit hard for me (mother$%&*ing archers...).

As I said, since the disc size limits the amount of length, you expect to max out health and magic on the first day especially if you're playing for hours straight.
The PS2 games takes alot longer due to the 8.5GB discs in comparison to 1.8UMD.
