Wait until the mailman delivers a newspaper to your house (he comes everyday), your sim needs to be in a good mood, once you click the newspaper choose "look for a job" I usually look for the one that gives you the most money. Then it will say what time you start work. You work everyday except weekends (Saturday and Sunday).

Its very simple all you have to do is enter "cheat gnome" code: hold B then press on the contol pad up left down right let go of b then it should appear close to the sidewalk then go up to it and press give sim coins whatever it shold give you up to 999,999 sim $ (try it a few times)
