I know the good majority of all of us have played FFIV in one of its incantations in the past, several of us were lucky enough to have played the original on SNES even.

But I have to remind everyone that though this is true - there are still people out there who will be playing this for the first time.

With that in mind, we do not want to discourage the younger generation, who didn't have the pleasure of playing the originals, from staying away from the forum because a lot of the posts contain spoilers.

If there is something ahead that you are going to post that may contain plot details or things that you wouldn't know unless you've played through the game before, just knock it out with the [spoiler] tags.

Hey, I'm 33 and this is my first time playing it.

I'm actually new to Final Fantasy. A lot of my friends were fans of the series, though. I never had a PS, PS2, or Super Nintendo. And when FFIV came out for the PC, mine wasn't good enough to play it. Hell, I had to go to a friend's house to play the original 8-bit NES. My first "console" was a Gameboy I got for my 16th birthday and by that time it had been out for a couple years already. The next system I got, no joke, was the Xbox.

Well, I'll stop complaining and crawl back under my rock.
